how has this...
already become this...
where did the time go???
every single day when i pick hannah up from day care she asks me if she's 3 yet. and today, i can finally hold up just one hand and say 5 more days and you will be 3! i just can't get over it! i know i keep talking about her turning 3, but it just doens't seem possible! my tiny baby has turned in to a wild child big girl overnight, it seems!
she has really taken on role playing with her babies. last night she was pushing her baby all over the house in her baby's stroller, with a blanket draped over it, saying "shhh...my baby's sleeping". she takes it very seriously!
this morning her babysitter texted me and said hannah had walked into the kitchen holding a baby doll, and told her that her baby is scared. when her babysitter asked what her baby was scared of, she replied "she is scared because i am just so beautiful"!!! where does she get stuff like that? i love the pretend play that comes with this age! it's so sweet!
then we have times like the other day at the mall where she is such a wild child! we were in the play area, and instead of playing on the toys, she is running circles around the toys, yelling at the top of her lungs "GO SOONERS!! GO SOONERS!!". i have no idea what in the world made her start doing that! and i hadn't even fed her any sugar!
and we also have moments that just melt my heart like this one on our car ride this morning. she had asked for her music, but i asked if we could just listen to mommy's music this morning (usually klove). she's so laid back, that of course she didn't care. about 10 minutes later, she said "mommy, can we listen to 'stronger'?". i have a live cd from our church that has a song on it called "stronger", and she loves it and will sing it at the top of her lungs! i love it because there is nothing sweeter than my baby girl singing praise songs!
as much as i am sad about her birthday being in 5 days, i do love this age! she is so much fun and so creative and really just so easy! so i am embracing that she is growing up and enjoying every moment!
be sure, though, that there will be a long, picture heavy blog the day of her birthday:)
