i have never liked winter really to begin with. and this year, i think i hate it even more. we have had 2 major snows in the last 2 weeks, and i am so over it. it really is pretty, and hannah loves it of course, but i am tired of being stuck in the house and the freezing temps.
this is the look out our front window during storm #1:
however, hannah and i had LOTS of fun hanging out at home! we played games, watched movies, and stayed in our jammies for days! such great mommy/daughter time!
we made cupcakes, and hannah loved that i let her dump all the ingredients in herself, and then ice them herself also. but...BEWARE of the ones she iced...she would ice one, then lick the icing off, then re-ice it! if you ever come to visit and there are mini cupcakes, do not eat!!! don't say i didn't warn you ;)
one of the mornings we made homemade biscuits, which were so yummy! hannah loved helping with those too, because she was allowed to stick her hands in and "play" with the dough to knead it! she said it was like play dough, which meant of course we had to get the play dough out!!
we did venture out after the storm passed to go sledding for the first time! hannah loved it, but mama was not as thrilled! it was maybe 10 degrees, and i HATE the cold! but we did want hannah to really experience this snow since she was sick last year when we got good snow, so i sucked it up and off we went!
there are so many layers on her little body, i have no idea how she was able to move!

this is hannah and macenzi, who i think is her new favorite person! if mac is around, everyone else is non-existent! thankfully mac loves hannah right back :)
after a few times down the hill, the girls all decided we were done, and we sat in the car while the guys played a little while longer. then we went to jamie's for this:
hannah loved this as well, but by this time she was so cold, i think she was only on a couple of minutes. her poor little cheeks were frozen!
our week snowed in was lots of fun, even though i say i hate winter! i am very thankful for the time i got to spend with hannah! we did have another snow day yesterday, but it wasn't as bad as last week. we only had one day stuck inside and i am back at work today (working hard, obviously:) ) daddy took hannah out to play in the snow again today, so be on the lookout for more pictures! he had champ, our lab, pull her on the sled today, so i can't wait to hear all about it when i get home!
hannah is going to her nanna's this weekend, so i get to pick up the aftermath of being home so many days in a row, and actually have some time to myself! sunday i get a much-needed girls day and am so excited to do some shopping!
