wow, we have been busy! i didn't even realize it had been so long since my last post until i got on here today! so far, march has been wonderful, and i am excited about things to come! the weather is finally getting warmer (although not today), and since we set our clocks forward yesterday, we have more daylight! i love this time of the year!
hannah is growing like a weed! she is getting so big and is just so much fun! she is finally becoming a little more of a daddy's girl, but she does still lean towards me a little more. i am sure that won't last forever! :)
we have made some wonderful new friends, and hannah LOVES their kids! it's amazing to me how well hannah does with older kids, but she just seems to fit right in! there are days that makes me a little sad...she is growing up way too fast!
here she is with mac and caleb:
mac may be the death of her momma, and i see hannah following in her foot steps!! :)
no, they really are both such good girls! it's just gonna keep us momma's busy trying to keep up with them!
a couple of weeks ago, two of my girlfriends and i went and saw pioneer woman at hastings. it was so much fun! we only waited 3 1/2 hours to meet her, which from what i understand, is great! it was so worth it, too! she is funny and adorable!
last thursday night, we got to go see the new elephant habitat! hannah has been waiting on the return of the elephants for so long, and now she is driving me crazy about when the pregnant one will have her baby! it really was so cool, and there are 2 elephants there right now, with their plan to have 6 there eventually!
we are planning another zoo trip this week!
ok, so the title of this post says 1 goal down...
well, i ran my first 5K yesterday, and it was great! i know the memorial run in may was my original goal date, but when this race came up, i decided why not? i have great friends that were so motivating!
the race was for st patrick's day, so we decked out in our green gear! it was so much fun! and of course, hannah thought all of the green was hilarious, although she did NOT want her hair painted green! i was shocked!
here we are before the race started...
and here we are coming around the final curve to the finish line...
jay was such a good sport! he so could have smoked jamie and me, but he decided this run was just for fun, so he ran at our slow pace! we had a blast, and i am so proud of how we did! we didn't stop at all, and our final time was 38:47! i had 2 goals when i started this race: 1) do not walk at all, and 2) finish under 40 minutes! we accomplished both and i could not have been happier!
and all runners got FREE beer at the finish line in honor of st patrick's day!!
it was such a fun day, and i can't wait for our next race!
one more picture of my ornery girl...
