'tis the season...for busy-ness!

goodness, i let too much time pass since my last post! it seems like now that hannah is here, from her birthday til the end of the year, we just don't stop. everything gets so busy, from birthday, to thanksgiving, to christmas shopping!

i thought this year i would have hannah's birthday party AFTER thanksgiving was over, thinking maybe more people would be able to make it. well, i was completely wrong, and honestly it didn't work out so great for us either. once we get out of november, everyone, including ourselves, are just too busy! the last 2 years we did the party the week before her birthday, and i am thinking we will definitely be going back to that!

but, we did have tons of birthday fun, for several days!
hannah when she woke up on her birthday:

why she is on the table like this, i have no idea :)

she opened presents and hung out with me for a while until cody got off work. we were pulling out of the driveway getting ready to head to chuck e cheese, and she decided to panic and that she didn't want to go there. she HATES chuck e, for some reason is TERRIFIED of him. we tried to convince her that we would just make sure she didn't get anywhere near him, but she decided she did not want to go at all! so we asked her what she wanted to do, and she said go to the mall. boring, i know, but it's what she wanted and it was her birthday!

she chose to eat at the "chip place" (el chico)

and then we don't ever get to leave the mall without her playing on the playground there.

since thanksgiving was the next day, we were headed to my dad's for dinner that night, and since it was her birthday, cupcakes were required of course! hannah helped me make GREEN icing, and of course had to lick everything clean!

the next day we headed to cody's parents house.
hannah loves to go there, and there was an extra bonus this trip...her cousins!!

those girls have the best time together, and we just don't get to see them often enough! their mom even made hannah that adorable turkey shirt to match the girls'!

that night we headed back in town to do thanksgiving/more birthday at my mom's house. my mom got hannah a Fancy Nancy doll for her birthday, and she "does" everything with hannah. she sits at the table with her, plays her games with her, and watches tv with her! it's the cutest thing!

just last weekend we had hannah's birthday party. it was at a big gym, and was a huge hit! the kids got to jump on an air trak, into a big foam pit. they did that almost the whole party! anything where hannah can run around like the crazy child she is means tons of fun!

i even managed to get our tree up the weekend after thanksgiving. this has definitely been the funnest christmas so far. hannah LOVED getting all the ornaments out and hearing where i got each one! now anyone who comes over, she has to tell about each and every ornament!

we took her to see the lights last night, and she had a blast doing that! her excitement was contagious, and i had the best time too! it's the most fantastic thing to see christmas through my baby's eyes!

happy monday! :)

  1. aww yay! I'm so sorry we didn't make her party. I have a gift for her & if I'd been thinking I would've brought it to deluxe.
It looks like she had tons of fun!
