goals

i don't set many goals lately. it seems like every time i do, i fail. like that weight loss goal i set back before i turned 30...i actually gained a few pounds instead! i am setting a goal, though. i am going to blog more often. even if i have only one sentence to type, i am going to blog at least weekly. i think daily is a little much...i am not that interesting:) but surely i can blog weekly. we'll see!

i finished A Woman After God's Own Heart a couple of weeks ago, and i STRONGLY recomment every woman out there read it. it was fantastic, and i am planning on actually doing the whole study again. i learned so much about myself while doing that book. i am now reading Beautiful in God's Eyes, also by Elizabeth George, and it is fantastic as well. it is making me feel so good to start my day reading such positive things, and learning about myself in the process. and i love that i am back in my bible every day again. there have been many good changes in my home and in my heart because of these books and i look forward to what is still to come.

a couple of weeks ago, i started having these horrible stomach pains. sometimes cramping, sometimes sharp shooting pains. i put it off for way longer than i should have, and last week i found out i have a cyst on my ovary. i know this can be very common for women, and a lot of times, cysts will go away on their own. i guess mine is not, however. i am going tomorrow for an ultrasound to better see what is going on with this cyst. i am praying that it is nothing serious and can be resolved easily. i am tired of feeling so bad all the time. i just hurt, which makes me not want to work out. i haven't run in 2 weeks or so and it is driving me crazy. i have about 10 pounds to lose, but hurting like i do sure doesn't make me want to get on the treadmill. i just need some answers!

hannah starts her first real dance class tonight! she will go in all by herself and start working on basic ballet techniques and coordination. i am so excited for her, and i think she is so excited also! there will definitely be pictures to come:)

football season kicked off on saturday, and in our family, it's a big deal! we don't typically go to the games, but we never miss one! my mom called saturday morning and a friend of hers had 2 tickets they were GIVING to someone who would use them, so cody and i got to go to the opening game for FREE! we had so much fun! hannah loves football already, too, even though she obviously doesn't understand really what's going on. she likes that she has a sooner jersey to wear on game days. she was at walmart with my sister the other day, and football was on the tv's that line the back wall. she went running back yelling "sooner football!!!". my sister (who is not a huge football fan) was shocked that my 2 year old recognized that:)
