big girl

so, friday night we did something that made me a little sad...

we decided it was time to change hannah's crib to a toddler bed. i know, i know...lots of kids are already in big beds by the time they are hannah's age, but she has NEVER even tried to climb out of her crib, so i was in no rush for the big girl bed. now that she is fully potty trained, though, including no diapers at night even, cody and i thought maybe we better make it where she can get out of bed to go potty if she needs to. well, it's been 5 nights and 2 naps now, and she still won't get out of her bed until we either hollar for her or go in there to get her!! it hasn't quite crossed her mind i guess that she can get out and come find us if she wants to! it's so funny to me! at least she is still sleeping in the bed with no trouble though... :)

i just can't believe what a big girl she is!

saturday we went and got our taxes done, and for the first time in YEARS we actually are getting a REFUND!!! i was bracing myself for the awful amount we would have to pay, so i could have kissed the lady that does our taxes when she told us we were getting money back!!! just 2 days before i had a little meltdown about our money and how we were going to pay our taxes. then just the day before we actually filed our taxes, i prayed to God that i was going to let him handle this for me and i would TRY to stop stressing over every dollar. well, i should know better than to doubt my God. it was a very humbling slap in the face when i found out we were getting money back. i knew God had done that! there is no other explanation for it. God is so good...

here are just a few random pictures of hannah from the last couple of weeks. she is just growing so fast and i have GOT to get better about documenting stuff that's going on!

we did go to the zoo on sunday, but my pictures from that are still on my camera, so hopefully i will do a post on that soon! it was fantastic, because for once, we just dropped everything and decided to go! we hardly ever do that, finding a million reasons NOT to do something: laundry, clean the house, work, etc. but we just up and went, and we had a blast!
