wow! it's been sooooo long since i posted last! there is a lot that has happened!
first of all, i am 13 weeks pregnant! we are so excited and hannah can hardly wait til her "brother" gets here! no, we don't actually know what we are having yet, but she is SURE it is a boy! but, when we first told her, she was SURE there were 2 babies in my tummy, then a couple weeks later, she was SURE there was just a girl, and now she has changed her mind again to being SURE it is a boy! she cracks me up! you just never know what she will decided from day to day! i think she realized, though, that if this baby is a girl, she will have to share her princess status! :)
hannah has been playing soccer for about 8 weeks now and loves it! she really is pretty good, and she likes her friends on her team! the first game did not go so well, as she cried the ENTIRE game and refused to go out on the field! we made her sit and watch the whole game while she cried, though. then, the next week, it's like none of that ever happened and she got right out there on that field and chased the ball best she could! now she loves it and says she want to play soccer forever!
she is just getting so big and so social! she is so funny and makes my day every day! i cannot believe she will be 4 next month! where has the time gone?
and that leads me on to my hard decision i had to make this week. i pulled hannah out of day care on monday. she was learning things there that i did not agree with, and doing things that i did not think were in her best interest. as her mama, it is my job to do what i think is right and best for her, and so i did. i had become close with her day care provider, but i had to separate our friendship from my daughter. i did ruin a friendship in making the decision i made, but i have zero regrets about the decision. it was hard, and i definitely feel some guilt about how i handled it, but hannah is so happy this week and has just gone with the flow of things, that i know i did the best thing for her. i am putting her in a preschool soon hopefully, but for now i have some awesome friends and family that are helping out! and one day a week she is mommy's big helper at the office...
(excuse the poor quality pic...it was with my phone and hannah refused a do-over :) )
i am sure there is so much more to catch up on, but i will really try to be better about staying caught up! especially since there is another baby coming! i will have to do lots of updates!
one last picture i want to share...several weeks ago, hannah and her cousin jak had their pictures done together, and i am so happy with the result. vanessa always does an awesome job!
