i don't know why, but i LOVE this picture! hannah just is so happy and doesn't have a care in the world!
we have been so busy lately, so i will warn you now...this will probably be a long post!
we have been trying so hard to save our money and not spend on unnecessary things, but over memorial weekend, we decided to take a small trip to tulsa. we thought it was far enough to "get away", but close enough it was an easy road trip. hannah hadn't been feeling great, but we went ahead and went, thinking she would get better by the time we got there. she was throwing up some, but we really just thought it was car sickness, so we kept on.
when we got there, we went and ate at toby keith's in the hard rock hotel. hannah thought it was really cool!
she was dying to get out of there, though, because she had discovered the indoor pool at the hotel! we could have just gone for the pool and she would have been happy!
we got up the next morning and went to the tulsa zoo. i have to say, okc has a GREAT zoo, and i was thoroughly disappointed in the tulsa zoo! but hannah, had fun, and we did get some great shots of some of the animals!
my monkey... :)
they were doing a rhino demonstration and were letting people pet the rhino! i was scared to death to walk up to this massive animal and PET him, but i was trying to be the tough mama and show hannah she was perfectly safe! she had NO part of that, though! she would decide maybe it was ok to pet him, but she would immediately change her mind and back away! can't say i blame her!
this little penguin was adorable and hilarious! he would follow hannah all across that window and was so playful! definitely the best thing about that zoo!
isn't he beautiful??
hannah back at the outdoor pool at the hotel after the zoo! seriously we could have just spent all weekend in the pool and she would have been happy!
we ended up cutting our trip short. we had planned on going to the aquarium in jenks, but hannah just kept feeling bad, so we came home and took her to an urgent care. turned out she had another ear infection, and we just got done battling double ear infections! we just went to the doctor again yesterday, and she said hannah may be starting to get another one AGAIN!! we may have to do tubes again, and that is not something i want to do! but, i guess it is what it is!
we had our first lake day of the season last week, and the first thing hannah always has to do is drive the boat! i think pawpaw loves it!
it's taken hannah and my brother jason some time to REALLY love being together, and poor jason followed hannah all over the place! all she had to do was ask, and he willingly did whatever she wanted! such a great uncle! he was probably exhausted by the end of the day!
my cheeseball!
no, hannah is NOT actually driving the sea doo by herself! she thought she was such a big girl up there so i had to take the picture! her mimi is actually standing right behind it, she just didn't make it in the picture! she did take hannah for a ride, though, and surprise, surprise...she likes to go FAST!!!!
hannah experienced her first slip-n-slide last week! obviously she didn't immediately get the hang of it!
i don't know how many times she did this, but it was hilarious!
all of the kids thought trying to drink the water was fun! they sure looked silly doing it!
this is hannah's small pool we have in the back yard. when she picked this one out, i thought she would really hate it. it's small and shallow and really more for smaller kids i think, but she kept saying "mama, this is the PERFECT pool for me!". as long as she's happy, i am, and she does love this little pool!
we finally made it to the okc zoo on friday to see the new baby elephant! i think i was more excited than hannah was!
the stream in the kids play area at the zoo is the biggest reason hannah goes to the zoo i think! she patiently lets me take her to see all the animals because she knows at the end of the day she gets to SOAK herself in the stream!
so, we have officially bought the land in bridge creek! i am mostly excited about this new adventure, but also a little nervous! i have always lived in norman, and i am moving to the middle of NOWHERE!! it will be great, though!
we have lived in this house for 7 years, and have never done anything with the flower beds! they have always just been dirt! we are hoping to have our house on the market by the end of june, though, and i figured we better do something with that dirt! so this is what we did over the weekend! so much prettier!
i will be sad to leave this house, but living in the country will be a great way to raise children, and having them in smaller schools will be great! i will just have to adjust a little to not having the conveniences i have now! hannah is so excited to move out to the land! we made the mistake of telling her once we move that maybe she could have a brother or sister....so now she is BEGGING for one! you just never know what might happen! :)
(and no, i am not pregnant...yet!)
This warms my heart :) <3 -Keesh
